First Regional Awards Scholarships 2011

First Regional Co-operative Credit Union awarded several scholarships, grants and a tertiary level bursary at its annual scholarship ceremony held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at the Hibiscus Lodge Hotel in Ocho Rios.

Four students who were successful in the Grade Six Achievement Tests (GSAT) received First Regional Scholarships in the amount of 25-thousand dollars each, for five years.

Eight students were awarded book grants valued at $5,000.00 each. Three tertiary level students received book grants valued at $7-thousand each; while Kadian Dingel was awarded a tertiary level bursary in the amount of $150-thousand dollars.

Outstanding GSAT student Kristen Barnes with a 97.9% average, was awarded a Gift Certificate valued at $10,000.00 and a goodie basket.

Kadian Dingel was awarded the one-off Tertiary Level Bursary in the amount of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00).
